Explanation Text

Explanation is a text which tells processes relating to forming of natural, social, scientific and cultural phenomena. Explanation text is to say ‘why’ and ‘how’ of the forming of the phenomena. It is often found in science, geography and history text books.

Generic Structure of Explanation Text

– General statement

General statement; stating the phenomenon issues which are to be explained.

– Sequenced of explanation

Sequenced explanation; stating a series of steps which explain the phenomena.

Purpose of Explanation Text

– Explanation is a text which tells processes relating to forming of natural, social, scientific, and cultural phenomena.

– To explain how or why something happens.

Language Features of Explanation Text

In an explanation text, there are linguistic features as below :

– Using simple present tense

– Using abstract noun (no visible noun)

– Using Passive voice

– Using Action verbs

– Containing explanation of the process

Opinion is basically a statement about what you have in mind about something, either agree or disagree, pro or con and so on. Thoughts are actually ideas or what you think about something.  Assalamualaikum wr wb, this time I will share an example narrative text about a hungry crocodile. Orientation One day, there was a hungry crocodile waiting a prey near the lake in the jungle. That crocodile hiding under the surface of the lake for a long time, but there was not yet any prey approaching that lake to drink. That crocodile was so cruel and thus it had no friend and the other animals hate it so much. Complication At the afternoon, the crocodile could not stay any longer to the lake. It finally walked to the ground. But that day was unlucky day for that crocodile. After getting at the bank of the lake suddenly there was a big branch of the tree falling upon its neck. The crocodile could not move at all. Not long after the falling branch, finally there was a buffalo coming to the lake to drink. The buffalo saw the crocodile and the buffalo was afraid and would leave that lake soon. But the crocodile asked it sadly to help. The buffalo felt sad about it and decided to help t

 28 August 2020 Assalamualaikum My name is irgian achmad fahmi,how are you everyone I hope all is well, Today we will learn about congratulations. T his time I want to explain about congratulations and I also want to congratulate my friends so first im gonna tell you what is the definition of congratulation,  congratulation is  words expressing praise for an achievement or good wishes on a special occasion. for example :  "Congratulation for winning the football competition!" and yup that's one of expressing congratulations.  and im gonna share about my experience expressing congratulation to one of my friend that being accepted to the highschool that he want. Today I will give a greeting to my friend named Avriza because he has won a tournament in an online game I think he's happy I hope he is happy Thank you...
